Advocacy in Action

Justice. Freedom. God’s Mission.

Cultivating a faithful public witness at the corner of missions and advocacy

March 11-14, 2019
The United Nations | New York, N.Y.

Advocacy in Action is a four-day opportunity to put your faith to action while impacting the most pressing issues of the day. Explore advocacy as a faithful expression of Christian mission, develop a biblical basis for advocacy and learn how to be an effective advocate — locally, nationally and globally.

In 2019, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is partnering with Metro Baptist Church and the Baptist Fellowship of the Northeast (a CBF regional organization) to host Advocacy in Action in New York City. Planned agenda items include a visit to the United Nations and hearing from international religious advocates on topics such as religious liberty and global migration. We will explore New York City’s rich immigration history, hear from pastors serving in this unique context and learn about the unique ministries of Rauschenbusch Metro Ministries and Metro Baptist Church. Organized optional events will be offered to take advantage of the sights of New York City.

If you will be utilizing the Metro Baptist Church Dorms as your lodging for the week, the cost for registration is $250. This includes 4 nights of lodging at Metro Baptist Church. If you will be utilizing another lodging option, the cost for registration is $125. We have negotiated a special rate at a hotel one block away from Metro Baptist Church, the Doubletree by Hilton Times Square West. Hotel reservation information is available in the registration process.

Space is limited.
