Detailed Schedule

Monday – June 17

Transformers: Re-Shaping How We Care for Ourselves and the Communities We Serve
Location: Victoria B (Third Floor; Victoria Wing
Traditional self-care advice is a helpful baseline but does not always meet the needs of spiritual care practitioners. The pandemic further stretched chaplains' and pastoral counselors' resources, including those for self-care. Yet factors impacting burnout require a wider lens: they began pre-pandemic and continue into the present. What we have been doing to care for ourselves may no longer be working. We need new tools. This two-day training invites chaplains, pastoral counselors, and others into a space of transformation to reshape and re:imagine new resilience tools that can be implemented into daily ministry in specialized settings, informed by the realities of spiritual care.
Cost: $50; Pre-registration required
