February 2-5, 2027
First Baptist Church, Raleigh, North Carolina
Move over 90s summer! It’s time for throwback CEC! The Christian Educators Conference is a bi-annual continuing education experience designed for CBF ministers, and this time we’re returning to Study Hall! Roam the halls with us for a week of learning, thinking, growing, and connecting.
We’re trading algebra and biology for classes our ministers need most—technology and the spiritual formation of children, AI and the future of faith, leading in between authority, relationships, and conflict, learning about ministry resources and an ending to “volun-tears,” senior adults as part of the intergenerational church, the gifts of neurodivergence, church safety and safeguarding, and how to equip parents for intentional faith formation.
Registration opens Tuesday, September 1st!
“First to Class” Ticket at $100 (September 1 until October 2)
Ticket includes: a themed-out swag bag waiting for you at the registration table, opening worship and reception featuring LIVE music and dessert bar, morning meetings with complimentary coffee and fruit snacks, access to 6 classes, two lunches, two afterschool specials where CBF staff facilitate discussion and end of day wrap ups, a closing breakfast with guest speaker, and learning that lasts well beyond the week.
When you register, you’ll have the opportunity to add your name to our hotel block. This gives you access to our special CEC group rate at $174 per night plus tax at the Hyatt House, 11 Seaboard Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27604.
WAIT! There’s more…it’s a pre-conference you won’t want to miss! From 1-4 pm on Tuesday, February 2nd, you’re invited to join Rev. Dr. Karen-Marie Yust at FBC Raleigh for an afternoon of leaning in and learning all about how technology is shaping the spiritual lives of the next generations. In her pre-conference session she will present “It’s Not ALL Bad News: Technology and the Spiritual Lives of Children.” ($25 per person)
