Church Staff Ministers

After those who are participated in ChurchWorks left Knoxville in February 2020, no one anticipated what would unfold over the next two years. As we regather, we do so asking “What’s next?” Honestly, we don’t know, but we do know there are amazing people, ideas and resources in the Fellowship, our churches, and our communities. Our interactive sessions will draw inspiration from the people in the room, cultivating ideas that align passion, talent and resources to consider new opportunities for God’s dream in your church and community.

You are invited to come join other church staff ministers, chaplains and pastoral counselors as we gather in person to worship, learn, share, eat, laugh, be challenged, make new friends, rest, play and be encouraged and energized for the return to home and church.

Chaplains and Pastoral Counselors

The past two years have been unlike any in our lifetime. As chaplains and pastoral counselors, we have been challenged to pivot and find innovative ways to continue to minister in specialized settings, while doing our best to care for ourselves during these unprecedented times. ChurchWorks 2022 offers a unique opportunity for CBF-Endorsed Chaplains and Pastoral Counselors to gather in a space designed to refill and renew, as well as time to share and collaborate with one another and with CBF Church Staff, identifying possibilities for “What’s next?” as we discover the ways our ministries intersect.

The health and safety of all ChurchWorks attendees is our top priority. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will act in accordance with CDC guidelines and facility safety measures.

ChurchWorks matters because it is imperative that associates have safe, creative, intuitive space to think and grow around issues, questions and realities directly influencing and shaping their ministry and the church.
