Ministers Coming Together in Worship and Fellowship
Peer Learning Groups (PLGs) provide ministers with the opportunity to cultivate rooted relationships and gain compelling clarity through worship, spiritual formation, discussion of ministry-related issues, and fellowship. Each PLG is comprised of 5-12 ministers. New groups are welcome (please complete the application below) and some groups are open to new members. Individuals may submit an interest form if you would like to join a group but need more information.
Each group, facilitated by a convener, works collaboratively to determine the focus of meetings and/or retreats. CBF provides the groups with suggested resources related to promoting pastoral excellence and congregational health. In addition, groups receive a $500/year mini-grant to fund resources and time together.
For general information, contact plg@cbf.net.
The Peer Learning Group application is closed for 2026 and funding for PLGs has been exhausted. Please email Kelly Adams (kadams@cbf.net) if you are an existing or new PLG convener and have questions about next steps, or reach out to your state/regional coordinator about resources for your group.
More information will be shared at the end of 2026 and early in 2027 about funding Peer Learning Groups and Learning Communities.
