DECATUR, Ga. — Cooperative Baptists attending General Assembly next week in Jacksonville, Fla., will vote on a budget proposal approved by the CBF Governing Board that forecasts expense and revenue totals similar to the current budget.
The proposal includes a bottom-line number of $16,118,827, which is a surplus of about $21,000.
The total budget for the 2027 fiscal year, which begins August 1, is an increase of about $34,000. This is due primarily to increased restricted spending on grant-supported work, even as there is decreased unrestricted spending compared to last year.
The CBF 2027 fiscal year budget proposal is available at www.cbf.net/budget. A budget summary document is available, as well as a narrative that explains both revenue and expenditure projections.
Voting on the budget proposal will occur during the business plenary session of the 2026 General Assembly at 9:30 a.m. Eastern on Friday, June 19.
A Business Breakout Session will be held for attendees to discuss the 2026-2027 CBF Ministries and Mission Budget at 1:30 p.m., Thurs., June 18, in Boardroom 1 of the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront hotel.
