Part of our ministry has been working with students and in Spain the youth groups include students from 13 to 30+ years as long as they are single. We attend two churches and I am the drummer at both churches. We have a Youth praise band but no one else plays drums so I became the drummer for both. I feel young playing with them, but they soon remind me of my age so I remind them of their young talent.

It is such a wonderful blessing watching the young people dedicate their talents and serving God. We play at every youth event, some church events and have gone to the nursing home twice now. Everyone had a great time although some of the elderly people thought the kids were their grandkids. One sweet lady was shocked to see how big I had grown. She kept telling everyone how she babysat me as a child.

To remedy the situation, we will soon be offering percussion lessons. I starting to feel like King Herod when the wise men were asking about the newborn King. Several young people want to play the drums and kick me off the band. I just remind myself that it will take them some time before they get good enough to play.

Classes will be starting soon and will be made available for anyone willing to learn a percussion instrument. Parents are thanking me for their children banging on things all over the house. We will have ensembles so everyone can play. I will probably post some videos once classes start. Pray for our growing student ministry. We started out with five young people, and our attendance has not dropped below 25. We have several nonbelievers in the group and several have come to Christ.
