Daren* used to be one of the youth at Refuge and Hope many years ago.
He was always bright, creative and energetic. We didn’t see Daren for several years, until last year when he showed up at Refuge and Hope and asked if he could volunteer. Daren plays the guitar and is an excellent worship leader. He is now working with youth at Refuge and Hope and leading worship for staff and youth. Daren is an inspiration to other refugee youth when they see how he went from once being a teenager in the youth group to serving as a leader at R&H. Daren inspires youth to learn musical skills and be confident in leading worship. This is the goal at R&H: To equip and empower refugees so that they can thrive and make a difference in their communities.
