Pauline is a patient who had a left mastectomy last year and is now undergoing chemo treatments. CBF has prayed for her before. She recently commented that even though this has been a scary and challenging time for her and her children, she feels God working in her life and is constantly in awe that so many people are praying for her. She said she feels God is calling her for some purpose and she looks forward to giving back for all the kindness and support she has received. Recently she got to give back when she gave encouragement to a 15-year–old patient, Kodjo, with a huge tumor on his hand. She explained to him what to expect with the tests and surgery and encouraged him to hold fast to God. She has been praying daily for him and the boy says he is no longer as scared as before. Pauline says she gives thanks to God that she can help another because of her experience.
