God of Presence and Peace,

We give thanks today for our endorsed chaplains and pastoral counselors—those who stand at the thresholds of life and death, joy and sorrow, despair and healing. We give thanks today, O God, that you are still calling servants into sacred spaces where pain meets hope, where fear seeks faith, and where silence cries out for understanding. We give thanks for those who serve as faithful ministers of reconciliation and hope in this broken world.

Holy God –We thank you for Your Spirit that prompts them to enter into sacred, often painful, spaces: the churches and hospital rooms, the military bases, the correctional facilities, the clinics of care, and the disaster sites. Bless them with listening hearts that discern your Spirit in every story they hold. Grant them the strength to maintain a compassionate presence, reflecting the boundless and inclusive love of Christ to every soul that they encounter.

Renew their strength, Lord, when weariness threatens, and replenish their spirits with empathy and compassion. Give them deep listening ears to truly hear the unspoken burdens, and the right words to offer comfort, hope, and truth in moments of crisis, grief, and fear.

As they bear witness to pain, may they not internalize the suffering, but instead become vehicles that offer your peace and your healing. Give them courage to be bearers of light in dark places and witnesses of grace in spaces where others might overlook.

We pray today for both Wisdom and Guidance to discern the diverse needs before them. For the patience to walk alongside those on long and difficult journeys. Equip them with the courage to minister across all lines of difference, reflecting your unlimited love to every individual. Protect their boundaries, allowing them to step back and find rest, so their own spiritual, emotional, and physical reserves are sustained.

Bless their families and support systems, for they, too, share in the calling and sacrifices of this holy work. Guard their personal well-being, keeping their own faith vibrant and their inner spirit anchored. Strengthen their vocational resilience against the fatigue of constant emotional outpouring. Sustaintheir personal faith, guarding their hearts and minds, so that their own spiritual life never runs dry. May they continually experience the profound sense of your Holy Spirit, that they may be powerful and authentic ministers of hope. Bless the ministry that has been assigned to our hands. We offer this prayer in the name of our Strength and Redeemer, our song of praise, in the name of the Crucified and Risen Christ, Jesus.

Amen.
