We have been in Uganda for 17 years now and working with CBF for over 20 years. We began from our garage at our house with one staff, then two, then more. We then rented a place and called it the Center of Hope. We began with less than 25 students, then it grew to over 150, then to over 300. Today we have over 600 students coming through our doors with three rented buildings. It is amazing to see all that God has done.
We have over 50 staff at Refuge & Hope(R&H), who serve in various ministries including teaching English as a second language, sports, Bible, social work, counseling and administration. Each person on staff is uniquely gifted and are reaching the nations that God has brought to Uganda. Currently Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan are fighting or are on the brink of civil war. There are over 1.5 million refugees in Uganda and God has provided a refuge for them through the Center of Hope and He has placed the staff there to offer hope in Christ. Please pray for refugees in Uganda and for our staff who serve.
