We had the privilege of hosting friends from Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, and Second Baptist Church of Little Rock as a joint mission team. It was beautiful to see the two groups, having never met each other, meld together as one beautiful picture of the Church in a matter of hours. Deep conversations, shared ideals, precious vulnerability and authenticity gave way to a spectacular demonstration of God’s love and how the Church can come together with a common goal. They forged friendships across the groups, encouraged one another, laughed, cried and comforted one another. Together, they loved our local friends and ministry partners so beautifully, and they were a gift to our family as well. After the very first dinner, our teenage son leaned over to me and said, “I’m so glad they came!” It is always a blessing to us and our local partners when our CBF partner churches come to Macedonia!
