Mentorship is a vital part of our ministry in Kampala, Uganda. The Center of Hope provides an ideal space for youth and adults to learn more about themselves and about Christ. Many young people come to the Center for sports, Bible studies, fellowship and to gain advice from those who have gone before them. Alice* provides deep insight to the many girls and guys who come for basketball and volleyball training. She is not originally from Uganda though she has successfully navigated the challenges of being from somewhere else but making Uganda her home. Many of the youth look up to her and she can mentor them from experience. She has successfully completed high school and university and has been serving with us for almost five years. Please pray for Alice as she makes a difference in the lives of some of the thousands of refugees currently in Uganda. Uganda hosts more than 1.5 million refugees. Currently, there is a lot of uncertainty as the recent funding cuts has left many refugees stranded and in need of assistance.
