Mission Bite #143: A Little More Neighborly

Did you ever in your wildest imagination think you would have someone from the Middle East over to your house for lunch? I asked my friend, Larry. Pastor Knowles is a tall senior gentleman, full of Christian joy, quick-witted and a master of dickering if ever there was.

The Knowleses became American hosts to two young Arab students attending a local university. After lunch one day they gathered around a world map to share where their hometowns were and what countries they had traveled. Mary Kate, Larry’s 'better half,' shared with me that for a few hours every time they get together with the students, the world feels a little more neighborly. I have to believe home feels a bit closer to the students too.
