Mission Bite #188: Applying Lessons Learned

We struggle, like many others, to make sense of what is happening. In light of this pandemic, we must find creative ways to continue our work with immigrants here in Spain.

We are drawing on what God taught us on our first CBF field location. While living in India, we had to learn to adjust to water and electricity shortages, washing by hand, and hanging clothes outside. We were evacuated because of the threat of war and had to spend two months away from home. Through all of this we learned that trusting God and not our circumstances was the answer. Now we are applying those lessons once again.

Aplicando Lecciones Aprendidas

Luchamos, como muchos otros, para dar sentido a lo que está sucediendo. A la luz de esta pandemia, debemos encontrar formas creativas de continuar nuestro trabajo con inmigrantes aquí en España.

Nos basamos en lo que Dios nos enseñó en nuestra primer destino como personal de campo de CBF. Mientras vivíamos en India, tuvimos que aprender a adaptarnos a la escasez de agua y electricidad, lavar a mano y tender la ropa afuera. Fuimos evacuados por la amenaza de guerra y tuvimos que pasar dos meses fuera de casa. A través de todo esto, aprendimos que confiar en Dios y no en nuestras circunstancias era la respuesta. Ahora estamos aplicando esas lecciones una vez más.
