Mission Bite #33: Teamwork makes the dream work…and donuts!

"Learning to work as a team is often one of the most important skills to learn, regardless of your vocation. Touching Miami with Love's culinary arts learning sessions are not just about teaching students to cook and discover if this is an area of interest for them, it's about something more. Using skills our youth developed in our Social Skills sessions, we encourage our youth to work together to solve problems, use uplifting words and insist on inclusion of all team members' ideas as they create recipes together. Recently, youth in a culinary arts session at our Overtown site used teamwork to make cinnamon sugar donuts that everyone enjoyed."
