Weekly visits to the refugee camp have quickly become one of the most meaningful points of connection for the refugees, fostering both community and creative expression. During this time, a team from Germany visited, bringing several talented artists. After asking the women’s group what activities they were interested in, they requested painting classes and art instruction. In response, we were able to offer multiple classes over the course of a month. Attendance grew steadily each week, with more women joining each session. The classes became a powerful time of fellowship, and participants often lined up before the sessions began, eager to take part. We hope to identify and involve more artists in the future to continue and expand these creative projects.
