After hurricanes, tornados and flood events occur, affected CBF state and regional organizational partners often request access to trailers outfitted with the tools, supplies, and equipment needed for recovery. Each year, CBF Disaster Response takes inventory of its small fleet of tool and equipment trailers to determine items needed to be replaced or added, including axes, saws, generators, masks, battery chargers, drills, extension cords and ladders. A gift of $10,000 will outfit one trailer with the tools, supplies, and equipment needed for deployment.
CBF Domestic Disaster Response is managed by CBF field personnel, Rick Burnette. In 2020, CBF Disaster Response initiated recovery efforts in Lake Charles, Louisiana (Hurricanes Laura and Delta) and in the Florida Panhandle (Hurricane Sally).
