During our PPDA we were able to go to Canada and visit one of our closest refugee families.  We had known them for many years in Uganda. We spent two days with them and saw that they were adjusting to their new country well. We learned that there were over 800 refugees living in their town and many of them had been resettled from Uganda. As we were leaving and going to the airport, the family had arranged for us to ride with a taxi driver. I had met him before in Uganda. He told us that many of the refugees in their town had attended programs at the Center of Hope. He estimated maybe 200 of the refugees knew the Center of Hope, knew us, and had attended our programs. He told us that he was currently supporting his brother to attend classes at the Center of Hope. And he knew others in their town who were still supporting relatives to go to our programs. He laughed and said if he had known we were in his town that they would have thrown a big party for us! It is amazing to see how God works and how programs in Uganda are changing lives.
