Student Serve Applicant Acknowledgement

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have carefully reviewed the Student Serve program materials, including the program description, application requirements, assignment information, program schedule, mandatory event requirements, financial expectations, and participant responsibilities.

I understand and acknowledge the following:

Student Serve is an educational mentorship experience designed to provide students with opportunities for learning, service, leadership development, and engagement with the mission of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
Student Serve is not an employment relationship. I acknowledge that I am not an employee of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship by participation in the program. I further acknowledge that I have no expectation of payment for my participation.
If selected for participation, I am expected to fully engage in all required components of the program, including orientation, online cohort sessions, meetings with my mentor, meetings with my assigned encourager, required evaluations, written reflections, and the end-of-program debrief.
I understand that participation in required Student Serve events and activities is a condition of participation unless an exception is approved in advance by Student Serve staff.
I understand the financial responsibilities associated with my participation, including any responsibilities related to travel, transportation, housing, meals, insurance, required documentation, fundraising, and other assignment-related expenses as outlined in the program materials and position description.
I understand that, if selected, I am expected to perform my assignment with integrity, professionalism, and respect while following the guidance of my mentor, host organization, Student Serve staff, and the mission and values of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
I understand that participation in Student Serve is voluntary and that I may choose to withdraw from my placement or discontinue participation in the program at any time by notifying my mentor and Student Serve staff.
I understand that the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate my placement or participation in the Student Serve program at any time, with or without prior notice, and for any reason deemed appropriate by Student Serve staff. Reasons may include, but are not limited to, failure to fulfill program expectations, violation of policies or standards, concerns related to conduct, safety, professionalism, or circumstances affecting the placement or the Student Serve program.
I understand that if my participation in Student Serve ends before the completion of my assignment, whether initiated by me or by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, I may be required to repay all or a portion of any educational stipend, travel assistance, housing assistance, or other program funds or benefits provided to me. Any determination regarding repayment will be made by Student Serve staff based on the circumstances surrounding the early conclusion of my participation.
I understand that the program is for a limited duration which is the time necessary for learning, service, leadership development, and engagement with the mission of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
I understand participation in the program or completion of the program does not entitle me to a paid job at the conclusion of the program.
