CBF’s Thriving Congregations Initiative exists to equip congregational leaders with tools and strategies necessary to move towards transformation and thriving in their unique congregational context.

We believe that all thriving congregations exhibit these five traits in significant ways:
Compelling Clarity, Faithful Agility, Holy Tenacity, Rooted Relationships, and Dynamic Collaboration.

The signature ministry of the Thriving Congregations Initiative is a year-long, accelerator-style, learning community that helps congregational leadership teams discover the above traits, and equips them with tools that can develop practices that lead toward the embodiment of these traits. Through this process, congregations will engage in holy experiments to accelerate learning and uncover pathways that lead to these traits transforming the whole congregation.

In addition to this signature ministry, CBF's Director of Congregations (Chris Aho) and the Congregational Ministries team are equipped to assist congregations in cultivating these traits in other ways. Whether it be a half-day leadership development event, a weekend retreat, the reimagination of a "revival," or even a 4-6 week study, CBF's staff is ready to help equip congregations for transformation through these five traits.

In the seasons to come, more resources will become accessible to congregations and more opportunities for engagement will come. However, if you have any questions or are interested in participating in some way with us, please reach out to Chris Aho.
