Investing in Future Ministry Leaders
Theological Educational Scholarships
The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship values theological education as an important component of vocational ministry preparation. We consider it a joy to walk alongside individuals already in the process of pursuing a degree as well as those still in the process of discernment.
Leadership Scholarships
CBF is dedicated to investing in students interested in becoming current and future ministry leaders. We award scholarships annually to Baptist students enrolled in a Master of Divinity degree program at an accredited institution of higher education, and other at-large leadership and regional scholarships.
Scholarship recipients receive $4,000 in tuition assistance and a travel stipend of up to $1,000 to attend General Assembly. In addition, students are given opportunities to build community, network and further develop leadership skills for service with CBF partner congregations, missions, and ministries. There are two ways a student may apply for a CBF Leadership Scholarship
CBF At-large Leadership Scholarships
Baptist students enrolled in a Master of Divinity degree program or master’s level theology degree at an accredited institution of higher education may apply for the CBF At-large Leadership Scholarship. CBF’s Ministries Council will recommend scholars based on the student’s application and belief that the student selected represents the highest potential for the mission and ministry of CBF.
